Principles of Ensuring Criminological Security in the Sphere of Nature Protection

Abstract

The article presents the author’s vision of the system of principles for ensuring criminological security in the sphere of nature protection. Currently the theory of criminological security is in its formation stage. Due to this, the development of this theory in a specific sphere, in particular, the sphere of nature protection, calls for a primarily conceptual approach. The plurality of scientific opinions, and the paradigmatic character of this scientific area require the development of new foundation represented by principles of criminological security in the sphere of nature protection. These principles should be undoubtedly based on the legislative model of principles for the provision of security with a special emphasis on the specific features of this scientific area. The author stresses the dynamic nature of the system of principles for ensuring security. An assessment of changes in the legislators’ vision of the system of ensuring security is presented and a projection of these changes on the sphere under consideration is offered. The author describes the content of each principle of ensuring criminological security in the sphere of nature protection and offers a scenario of modernizing the fundamental ideas in the sphere under consideration. This article is an invitation for the research community to discuss the development and establishment of principles of criminological security in the sphere of nature protection.
