Legal aspects of the implementation of religious education in Russia are described. An analysis of the practical implementation of social and pedagogical technologies in non-governmental educational institutions of Irkutsk and the Irkutsk region was carried out using a qualitative analysis of local normative documents and methodological materials located on the websites of 4 Orthodox educational institutions of the Irkutsk region. Content analysis of the websites of these institutions showed that in accordance with the statutes, the main directions of the formation of socially approved behavior among students are the education of a Christian, of family-oriented person, of a professional and of a citizen. The directions of development of technologies for the formation of socially approved behavior of students within non-state educational institutions are proposed. One of the promising directions for solving the problem of social and negative behavior of adolescents is the cooperation of the state and religious associations, thanks to which the unique experience of confessional social education accumulated over many centuries finds its application for solving modern pedagogical problems.
