Abstract

The article analyzed the need to promote environmental management, as well as measures of economic incentives for sound environmental management of individuals in accordance with the legislation of the Russian Federation. The study examined complex impact of surface natural resource payments on stimulating environmentally sound management and improving the organizational support for their collection. We also proposed legislative changes that can attract additional funds to finance environmental protection measures and increase the role of surface natural resource payments in the incomes of budgets of different levels.
