Abstract

Actinotignum schaalii is an underrecognized Gram-positive bacillus due to its special growth requirements and prior phenotypic identification methods, and it is often mistaken as a contaminant. It has been associated with various clinical syndromes, from urinary tract infections to cutaneous infections.
