Abstract
Biofilms are the primary cause of antibiotic-resistant candida infections associated with medical implants and devices worldwide. Treating biofilm-associated infections is a challenge for clinicians because these infections are intractable and persistent.
Candida albicans
readily forms extensive biofilms on the surface of medical implants and mucosa.
