Abstract

CRISPR/Cas9 genome editing systems have been developed for many aspergilli. Reported gene-targeting efficiencies vary greatly and are dependent on delivery methods, repair mechanisms of induced double-stranded breaks, selection markers, and genetic backgrounds of transformation recipient strains.
