Abstract

γ-Lactamases are important enzymatic catalysts in preparing optically pure γ-lactam enantiomers, which are high-value chiral intermediates. Different studies have presumed that the isochorismatase superfamily is a candidate to obtain novel (+) γ-lactamases.
