Antimicrobial susceptibility testing (AST) reports are one of the most important clinical microbiology laboratory tasks. AST reports are essential to drive antimicrobial therapy, provide information to monitor antimicrobial resistance rates, and trigger further tests to detect outbreaks or confirm new mechanisms of resistance.
