Abstract

The diagnosis of Lyme neuroborreliosis (LNB) is based on neurological symptoms, cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) pleocytosis, and intrathecally produced Borrelia -specific antibodies. In most cases, the presence of intrathecally produced Borrelia -specific antibodies is determined by using an enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA).
