Abstract
ABSTRACT
We used translation-blocking morpholinos to reduce protein levels in
Giardia intestinalis
. Twenty-four hours after electroporation with morpholinos targeting either green fluorescent protein or kinesin-2b, levels of these proteins were reduced by 60%. An epitope-tagged transgene can also be used as a reporter for morpholino efficacy with targets lacking specific antibodies.
