Abstract

ABSTRACTViableLegionella pneumophilabacteria were isolated by amoebal coculture from pluvial floods after intense rainfall and from water collected at sewage treatment plants. Several isolatedL. pneumophilastrains belonged to sequence types that have been previously identified in patients.
