Abstract

Electron microscope examination and velocity sedimentation analysis of the deoxyribonucleic acid released from Pseudomonas aeruginosa spheroplasts indicate that this organism carries the bulk of its genetic determinants in a single duplex deoxyribonucleic acid molecule having a molecular mass of 2.1 × 10 9 daltons.
