Abstract
Mammalian-cell-derived extracellular vesicles, such as exosomes, have been a key focal point for investigating host-pathogen interactions and are major facilitators in modulating both bacterial and viral infection. However, in recent years, increasing attention has been given to extracellular vesicles produced by bacteria and the role they play in regulating infection and disease.
