Abstract
ABSTRACT
A bovine-specific cDNA microarray was used to characterize gene expression in the bovine rectoanal junction mucosa in response to
Escherichia coli
O157:H7 colonization, and results were confirmed using quantitative real-time PCR. The results showed involvement of cell processes including immune response, cell structure/dynamics, signal transduction, intercellular communication, and metabolism.
