Abstract

Fusobacterium nucleatum colonization contributes to the occurrence of portal vein thrombosis in patients with gastric cancer (GC). However, the underlying mechanism by which F. nucleatum promotes thrombosis remains unclear. In this study, we recruited a total of 91 patients with GC and examined the presence of F. nucleatum in tumor and adjacent non-tumor tissues by fluorescence in situ hybridization and quantitative PCR. Neutrophil extracellular traps (NETs) were detected by immunohistochemistry.
