Abstract

The Liaison XL chemiluminescence immunoassay (CLIA) analyzer allows total automation of gamma interferon (IFN-γ) measurement for the QuantiFERON-TB Gold Plus assay (QFT-Plus) that is used to diagnose Mycobacterium tuberculosis infection. To evaluate CLIA accuracy, plasma samples from 278 patients undergoing QFT-Plus testing were first tested with an enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA; 150 negatives and 128 positives) and subsequently with the CLIA.
