Abstract

Malassezia furfuris a common commensal member of human/animal microbiota that is also associated with several pathogenic states. Recent studies report involvement ofMalasseziaspecies in Crohn’s disease, a type of inflammatory bowel disease, pancreatic cancer progression, and exacerbation of cystic fibrosis.
