Abstract
Staphylococcus aureus
showed decreased susceptibility to penicillin, vancomycin, sodium cephalothin, and tetracycline, but increased susceptibility to sodium colistimethate, at a pressure of 68 atm in helium or helium-oxygen gas. Susceptibility of
Streptococcus pyogenes
was unchanged by pressurization.
