Abstract

Invasive pulmonary aspergillosis (IPA) is a life-threatening disease that affects mainly immunocompromised hosts. Galactomannan testing from serum and bronchoalveolar lavage fluid (BALF) represents a cornerstone in diagnosing the disease.
