Abstract

Clinical microbiology laboratories play a crucial role in patient care using traditional and innovative diagnostics. Challenges faced by laboratories include emerging pathogens, rapidly evolving technologies, health care-acquired infections, antibiotic-resistant organisms, and diverse patient populations.
