Abstract

Antimicrobial resistance-encoding mobile genetic elements (MGEs) may contribute to the disease potential of bacterial pathogens. We previously described the association of Group A Streptococcus (GAS) derived from invasive disease with increasingly frequent antimicrobial resistance (AMR).
