Abstract

ABSTRACT Accurate identification of human noroviruses (HuNoVs) from outbreaks or sporadic cases is critical for source tracing and outbreak investigation. Whole-genome sequencing is a powerful tool for the detection, identification, and discrimination of HuNoV strains. We report here the nearly complete genome sequences of GI.7[P7] and GII.4[P31] strains detected in a Californian patient co-infected by both strains in 2017.
