Abstract

ABSTRACT This study describes the molecular identification of 520 Entamoeba -positive fecal samples from a large and diverse population of captive nonhuman primates (NHP). The results revealed the presence of Entamoeba histolytica (NHP variant only), E. dispar , E. moshkovskii , E. hartmanni , E. coli , and E. polecki -like organisms.
