Abstract

As an RNA-binding protein, KSHV ORF57 regulates RNA splicing, stability, and translation and inhibits host innate immunity by blocking the formation of RNA granules in virus-infected cells. In this study, ORF57 was found to interact with many host noncoding RNAs, including lncRNAs, snoRNAs, and rRNAs, to carry out additional unknown functions.
