Abstract

In scientific institutions of the Russian Academy of Sciences special attention is paid to accounting of publications of employees. One of the most widespread information resources allowing to obtain information about publications of a particular scientist remains personal bibliographic indexes, both in printed and electronic form. The article considers biobibliographic indexes on soil science from the collection of the Central Library of the Pushchino Scientific Centre, a department of the Library of Natural Sciences (LNS) of the Russian Academy of Sciences, independently published for jubilee dates of scientists by students and relatives of researchers. The advantages and disadvantages of these indexes as resources for information and bibliographic service are noted.
