Socio­Cultural Integration as a Way of Resolving Identity­Based Conflicts in Modern Russia

Abstract

Concerns specificity of the sociocultural integration and considers the principle factors producing the identity­based conflicts. The author emphasises the destabilising role of ethnicity politicisation and lists the civic identity crisis, traditionalisation, and ethnic tensions among the systemic circumstances that support escalation of the identity­based conflicts.
