Cooperation between the United States and Mexico in combating illicit arms trafficking

Abstract

The article is devoted to the illicit arms trafficking issue between Mexico and the United States. The paper presents a retrospective analysis for finding the roots of the current situation. Author analyses the policy decisions in both countries, their authorities’ approaches for resolving illicit arms trafficking at different times. Assessment is carried out on the prospects of a two-state dialogue between the U.S. and Mexico on this issue.
