L’appropriatezza prescrittiva degli antibiotici nelle Cure primarie: perché rinunciare a cambiare?

Abstract

In recent years, the phenomenon of antibiotic resistance has significantly increased and today represents one of the main public health problems worldwide. This article describes a multidisciplinary approach carried out in the Province of Reggio Emilia (Northern Italy) through the peer comparison of prescription data (district, company and regional reports), the shared analysis of evidence-based literature and the discussion of clinical cases. Such an approach has proven to be a useful tool in reducing the prescriptive variability of family paediatricians and consequently in improving their prescriptive appropriateness.
