Abstract
In this paper, we have proposed a new modified symmetric SOR method for numerical solutions of linear augmented system. We have also discussed the convergence criteria of this method along with optimal parameters. We will see that the new modified method has a higher rate of convergence with the help of an example. We are also presenting a comparison table with the other existing methods. All the computational work has been performed by MATLAB 2020R.
