Abstract
ABSTRACT
Determination of the total α-ketolic fraction in separate 24-hour urine samples, as well as chromatographic identification of 16α-hydroxy-oestrone and 16-oxo-17β-oestradiol in pooled urine from newborn infants, has been carried out. The results obtained are a corroboration of the conclusions drawn from previous investigations on the oestrogen metabolism of the foetus and the newborn.
