DDAVP treatment of diabetes insipidus during pregnancy and the post-partum period

Abstract. A 23 year old woman with diabetes insipidus who had previously been treated with pitressin, pituitary snuff and chlorpropamide, was treated with DDAVP during pregnancy. DDAVP concentrations immunoassayed as vasopressin were determined in maternal serum and breast milk. Oxytocin antibodies were also determined in maternal serum.
