Abstract
ABSTRACT
When an alpha adrenergic blocking agent, phenoxybenzamine, was given to rats prior to the administration of a non-effective level of thyrocalcitonin (TC) there resulted a significant fall in serum calcium one hour following TC treatment. This response was observed in two different age groups of female rats but did not occur in male rats.
