A new method for image analysis of antibubble rupture

Abstract

The antibubble is a special spherical structure formed in a liquid, which consists of a layer of gas film and a droplet. In order to study the mechanism of antibubble rupture, the difference between artificial puncturing and free bursting was compared. The initial position and velocity of the free rupture of the antibubble are studied by using two-dimensional image analysis. The equations of the broken circle are derived from the space geometry. The two-dimensional image of antibubble burst was taken by experiment. The data were processed to establish the equation. The position of the initial burst of the antibubble was solved. The contraction velocity of the antibubble film was compared under different states.
