Abstract
The new effect is discovered in viscous fluid dynamics satisfying the three-dimensional (3D) Navier–Stokes equations without external forces that consists of oscillations of the corresponding total angular momentum vector. Exact viscous flows obeying the no-slip boundary condition are derived that have an arbitrary number of oscillations of the total angular momentum vector on any given interval [Formula: see text] of time t. Stability of the oscillations with respect to small perturbations of exact solutions is proven.
