4. A precise definition of “sharp temperature dependence” is impossible since the interplay of several factors is involved. However, in a wide variety of situations involving magnetic states the experimental location of the thermopower extremum is commonly well‐defined to within ±20% and is often well‐defined to within ±10%. The ICF behavior of Yb in YbCu2Si2 is consistent with such a guideline [see B. C. Sales and R. Viswanathan, J. Low Temp. Phys. 23, 449 (1976).].JLTPAC0022-2291
