5. E. K. Plyler of the National Bureau of Standards, Washington, D.C., has obtained a spectrum of our sample of C2Cl4 in the region 25μ–40μ with a thallium bromide prism. His results, which he has kindly allowed to be quoted, are obtained in a 1.6-mm cell and are 288s, 318s, 404?, and 431 w cm−1. The agreement between the expected and observed fundamentals is quite good.
