Abstract
This study was conducted to identify the factors affecting infection control self-confidence in performance among paramedic students and provide foundational data to enhance the infection control education environment and clinical training programs. Data were collected through an online and paper questionnaire survey among 119 students from two domestic paramedic departments. Data were analyzed using the SPSS 29.0 Program. Self-confidence in performing infection control was higher among students with higher knowledge of infection control and higher perceived importance. The factor influencing infection control self-confidence in performance was the perception of infection control (<i>β</i> = .568, p < .001), with an explanatory power of 57.2%. Therefore, it is necessary to devise strategies to enhance the perception of infection control during educational sessions, thereby improving infection control self-confidence in performance.
