RCS to Expand Surgical Research Infrastructure

Abstract

The RCS is working with partners to develop a nationwide research infrastructure to develop and expand the surgical clinical trials portfolio over the next five years. The aim is to establish at least three centrally funded clinical research centres based within existing clinical trials units of international standing, and to support lead clinicians to develop new multi-centre studies across the surgical disciplines. New funding is being raised by the College to support this initiative.
