Abstract

Zusammenfassung. Hausärzte haben bei Patienten mit einem Herzschrittmacher (PM) eine zentrale Rolle, da sie häufig primärer Ansprechpartner bei Problemen im Zusammenhang mit dem PM sind. In der unmittelbaren postoperativen Periode sind eine akute Dyspnoe, Schwindel/Synkopen oder eine Wundinfektion Alarmsymptome und bedürfen einer raschen Abklärung. Spät nach Implantation eines PM sind die Symptome häufig weniger klar assoziiert mit dem PM. Zur Nachkontrolle bei PM-Patienten gehört die Inspektion der PM-Loge und ein Ruhe-EKG, das in Kenntnis der PM-Funktion und -Programmierung interpretiert werden muss. Meist wird zur Eingrenzung und Lösung des PM-Problems eine PM-Abfrage unumgänglich.
