Abstract

Objective: The purpose of this research was to determine the effect of different surface treatments and aging on the bond strength of different temporary restorative materials with temporary cements. Methods: 252 temporary crown materials 2 mm thick with a 10 mm diameter were prepared. No surface treatment was administered to the control group. 4% hydrofluoric acid gel was administered to one of the other groups and sandblasted to the other. Two types of temporary cement were used. After a 5000-cycle thermal cycle was administered to half of the materials, cement bond strengths were measured.
