Abstract
This study investigates the development of sustainable cellular lightweight concrete (CLC) by incorporating quarry dust (QD), and natural rubber latex (NRL). CLC, known for its lightweightness and thermal insulation, traditionally consumes cement and sand, posing sustainability challenges. NRL, derived from a renewable source, and QD, a by-product, offer eco-friendly alternatives. The study explores the optimal mix proportions of NRL (3%, 5%, and 7% by weight of cement) and the influence of microwave (MW) curing. Results show that 5% of NRL enhances density and compressive strength while reducing water absorption. However, 7% of NRL exhibits trade-offs. QD substitution proved viable, promoting waste reduction. MW curing demonstrates the potential for rapid strength development. The research aligns with industry standards (TIS No.2601-2556) and introduces an environmentally conscious approach to CLC production, fostering sustainability in the construction sector.
