Communication and reproductive behaviour in North American Jerusalem crickets (Stenopelmatus) (Orthoptera: Stenopelmatidae).

Abstract

This chapter discusses studies on the communication and reproductive behaviour in North American Jerusalem crickets (Stenopelmatus). Different kinds of drumming and mating behaviour are described. A study on the effect of temperature on drumming rates of Jerusalem crickets is included.
