Abstract

The distribution of A. fulica and other Achatinidae pests across Africa and other countries; their biology (including aestivation, sexual behaviour, oviposition, life history and feeding preferences); economic importance as pests of horticultural and field crops; and control (physical, chemical and biological) are reviewed.
