Microbiological methods for assessing soil quality

Abstract
This book with 10 chapters aims to provide applicable microbiological methods for assessing soil quality. Part I provides an overview of approaches to defining, monitoring, evaluating and managing soil quality. In Part II, methods are described in sufficient detail to enable this handbook to be used as a practical guide in the laboratory. Finally, Chapter 10 gives a census of the main methods used in over 30 European soil microbiological laboratories.
