Abstract
The identity and role of bioactives (anthocyanins, proanthocyanidins, and other phenolics), other bioactive phytochemicals, antioxidants, health benefits (brian protection, effects on vision, urinary tract health, oral health, cardioprotection, and cancer chemoprevention), effect of preharvest and postharvest continuum (cultivar, other preharvest factors, postharvest handling and storage, and processing) of blueberry and cranberries are discussed.
