Abstract
In this chapter, the effects and control of insects and other pests, diseases and weeds in raspberry production are discussed. The primary eff ect of weeds in raspberries is the competition for water, nutrients and sunlight. However, weeds can harbour disease, nematodes and insects, and their management and control is vital for successful production and marketing of raspberries. The diseases of roots, diseases caused by viruses, leaf, cane and fruit diseases, fruit and plant disorders, insects, weed control in raspberries, spray equipment selection, and spray coverage and worker safety are discussed.
