Abstract

This article discusses the courtship and mating; development of mating behaviour; choice of mate; mating patterns; mating frequency and sex drive in fowls; practical implications in poultry breeding; hyperaggressive behaviour in broiler breeder males; and mating behaviour in other poultry species (turkeys and ducks).
