Plant morphology, anatomy and growth habit.

Abstract

This chapter describes the root system, stems and plant structure, leaves, flowers and flowering, pods and seeds; and provides anatomical characteristics and illustrations of roots, stem, leaf, fruit and seeds of lentil. The growth habits in lentil and plant types adapted to different agroecological conditions are also described.
