Chemoprevention effect of tea against neuronal death-dementia.

Abstract

In this chapter, the neuroprotective effects of theanine and catechins from tea on transient ischaemic neuronal death are described, and the possibility of prevention of dementia by green tea consumption are discussed. The outcomes of experimental and human studies are briefly presented.
