Abstract
This short article provides an overview of recent publications in the history of psychiatry and fields allied to it in the in the UK. It takes a chronological approach but includes insights into newer methodological and spatial directions, and provides some of the context for their development. In demonstrating the vibrancy of work in this area, the article highlights both the breadth of studies and the importance of anglophone studies in what is an increasingly diverse area.
